Also feel free to voice whatever's on your mind here. By doing so, your photos link back to your albums so hopefully, we'll get to see them as they were once proudly displayed on Webshots. But I'd rather let this community determine that.įeel free to add up to 10 photos a day to this group. Of course, I have set this up as a "safe" group so anything goes as long as it's not offensive to others. I dislike frequenting websites that are complex to navigate, slow to load, and are not visually appealing.Īs this group grows, I'd rather let you, the members, determine which direction to take for what goes on here. At least Flickr doesn't feel the need to keep changing its face every other year so things are pretty consistent here. They've changed it so many times over the years and it seemed to be getting worse. The recent aquisition seems to have pushed it over the edge. Nothing can replace the wonderful times we had being members of Webshots but maybe it was time for that website to wither away once and for all. If you get sufficient flow from this test then somethings up with air issues or the gauges are NOT accurate.Yes, it's a crime what's happening to Webshots, but at least here, we can maintain somewhat of a community consisting of yourself and hopefully, many of our former favorite members. Also will tell you whether the radiator is blocked. The stream out of the system should be stout! This would eliminate any questions about thermostat operation, water pump issues, and any blockage in the engine itself. Keep refilling the radiator with fresh water for a complete flush. If you want to test your water pump there is an easy way to do this albeit messy! Simply take the top hose off the radiator and wait for the thermostat to open and then watch what happens when it does. The thermostat does NOT affect the system's ability to cool per se unless it's stuck shut. A good 180ish will not impede cooling and if the problem you have now still exists it will gravitate right back to the very same symptoms that you had before. Actually running without the thermostat can set up laminar flow in the radiator and cause the efficiency to go down. So, if you are overheating at speed then something else is up! But, your fan should NOT be needed at interstate speeds anywho. First, the answer to your question.and this is why I don't use them.there is no way you can know for sure that your fan is working properly. How does your coolant look? YOu are using the green/yellow stuff.right? Not Dexcool or anything like that? Coolant should be clear and colored. Did you plug the system up with anything when the radiator was being fixed and is there a change it could be still in there? If this doesn't do it check the bottom hose for collapsing. Then run the engine with the front in jacked up. Get a bottle of WaterWetter (which is a surfactant) and add to the coolant. If so, then it sounds like you have not worked all the air out of the system would be my first guess. I am assuming that this is just a new problem just after your repair of the radiator.
